Private Lessons

  • 1 hour lessons: With the Head PGA Pro or Assistant PGA Pro
  • 2 hour lesson: 30 minutes of full swing, short game, putting and playing one hole on the course.
  • 3 hour lesson: 1 hour lesson and playing nine hole on the course.

Bert Walker, PGA Head Golf Professional
Bert Walker has been the PGA Head Golf Professional at Prairie Lakes G.C. since 2016 and has been a PGA Class A Member since 1998. A graduate of Texas State University with a History degree, he has been active in the Northern Texas PGA since gaining his membership, in particular with junior development programs ranging from beginners to advanced tournament players. He has been awarded the NTPGA Section Assistant of the Year—1998, NTPGA Section Horton Smith Award (education)—2008, and the NTPGA Metro Chapter Junior Golf Leader—2015. Before his current position, he has been employed at Country View G.C., Tangle Ridge G.C., Prairie Lakes G.C., Hackberry Creek C.C., and Thorntree C.C.

Matt Rippy, First Assistant Golf Professional
Matt Rippy has been the First Assistant Golf Professional at Prairie Lakes G.C. since 2016. He is currently in his final level of gaining his PGA Class A Membership. Originally from Boise, Idaho, Matt graduated with a Finance degree at the University of Nevada at Reno on a golf scholarship, and competed in numerous NCAA National Championships and USGA Amateur Championships. He also won the Rocky Mountain PGA Section Assistant Championship while working at his first job, Warm Springs G.C. in Boise, Idaho. He was also employed at Keeton Park G.C. for two and half years before coming to Prairie Lakes G.C.

Chuck Young, PGA Teaching Golf Professional
Chuck Young has been the PGA Teaching Golf Professional at Prairie Lakes G.C. since 2017. He attended Northwood University starting the golf team before entering the golf industry in 1983 and has been a PGA Class A Member since 1987. Chuck has won numerous professional golf tournaments including the Tupper Lake Open in New York State and the NTPGA Metro Assistant Championship. He has qualified for the Byron Nelson Classic twice (1987 and 1989), advanced six times to the National Club Pro Championship and four times to the Senior National Club Pro Championship. Considered an expert of the golf swing in the golf industry, he is excellent with players of all abilities, from total beginners to tournament players. Chuck has been employed at Z-Boaz G.C, Pecan Valley G.C., Country View G.C., Tangle Ridge G.C., owned and operated Lake Ridge Golf Center before arriving at Prairie Lakes G.C.
